Hi RFDers!
I've had my Obi200 setup almost 3 years ago and then I moved and it went into a box for the past year. I just connected it and the FPL connected back up no problem, but my Google Voice account won't connect and says Token Error on the Obitalk website. I tried to set it up again and it asks for permission to connect my Google account, but still giving me the same error. Anyone else facing or have faced the same issue before? Did Google change anything that won't let us use it with an OBI200?
TIA!

You need to update firmware: https://support.poly.com/support/s/arti ... re-Version.
Also, the OBi2xx series has been discontinued: https://www.obitalk.com/info/products/obi212. There is no guarantee that GV will continue to work on Obihai ATAs after December 18, 2023 in the event GV makes changes.

I noticed similar recently. It may have been going on a while, but I honestly don't use GV that much on the home phone so hadn't noticed until someone needed to use it.
I updated the firmware and tried to re-add the connection at Obitalk.com, but without success. I made sure to take a backup of my ATA settings by logging directly into the OBI200 via the IP address. I then had to re-enable the various provisioning services (OBitalk, etc.) so OBitalk.com would see my ATA. . I could then re-add GV successfully. After that I had to disable the various provisioning services that I re-enabled, and then load my backup to get my other lines (FPL, etc.) back.
Hope that helps.

I noticed that when I try to dial with Google Voice on SP2 on my Odi202 , I always get the message :
the number you dialed star star 2 802-XXX-XXXX has not received a response from the service provider
I can get inbound calls from my google voice number, no outbound numbers.
It was working find since 3 months.
I have the latest firmware.
Do you know what can cause this ?
Many Thanks,

The message you're hearing is come from the ATA/Obitalk.
Dial ***1.
Enter the IP address heard into a web browser, and login to the ATA.
Navigate to System Status-->SP2 Service Status
Does the status indicate "Connected"? If not, that's the problem. **2 means dial out over SP2.
During the call, you may wish to constantly refresh the page at Status-->Call Status to see if you can see anything noteworthy.
Navigate to Status-->Call History.
Did the call actually attempt to go out over SP2?
If not, you have a dial plan (check outboundcallroute) problem. Did the call try to go out using a different SP?
Try rebooting router. Wait for Wi-Fi networks to populate. Then reboot ATA.
If that works, your router is developing a stale connection or NAT association between the router and the ATA.
Ensure that SIP ALG is disabled in your router.
Also, take a look at https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?msg=111537 concerning "toxic numbers". Taoman is a respected individual, so the post isn't nonsense. For what it's worth, the Obitalk forums appear to be a better place more suited to resolving Google Voice issues than within a Freephoneline thread.
Here's another problem mentioned afterwards concerning dialing wrong numbers that I don't want to try to reproduce: https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?msg=111607. That seems very frustrating, if the description is accurate.
For those wishing to re-provision (delete and add back) GV using Obitalk.com, of course both Obitalk Service and Obitalk Provisioning need to be enabled in the ATA, unless you're using naf modded firmware: https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31792 ... mware-mods.
On another topic, my father was recently admitted to a hospital after swimming in a lake, so I'm going to attend to personal matters for the near future.

I just signed on for Rogers Ignite Internet 150u. They are going to give me some sort of wifi modem and I have a feeling it may not have a SIP ALG setting to disable.
Has anyone else used Rogers Ignite with Freephoneline? Which modem did they give you? Did you have to disable the rogers wifi modem to bridge mode and use your own router?
My best Google result is the below forum:
http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=18415.0
I guess they will give me an XB7 modem? And it works fine with Obi200? There is no SIP ALG setting to disable.

Hi,
Bit off topic, hopefully can ask... I'm using the Grandstream 812 with voip.ms.
Generally no problems, but if I'm slow with dialing the number, I get kicked out back to dial tone. Also, there's usually a long pause at the end of dialing and the beginning of the other side ringing. Sometimes I wonder if it went through, and then finally I can hear it ringing.
Does anyone know which parameters on the Grandstream might deal with that?
Thanks.

⬆ I'm not certain and will defer to ArrowFlynn but I think you can press # after your last entered digit for the call to connect faster. Try it anyway, it couldn't break anything.

Just had Rogers Ignite installed today. There were no settings required for the Xb7 to run with my obi200. Everything was just plug & play.

I have the Rogers Ignite service for almost a year now and I was able to use with my Cicso SPA122 for the FPL service without any issues (while using the proxy of voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060)

I have free phone line with obi 202 from last 4 years but since i changed my Rogers modem to XB7 i can't receive incoming calls. I tried re booting the device and modem and also tried all the url from free phone line. It works for may be 30 minutes then again stops working for incoming calls. Any help please what to do. I already factory reset the device and re enabled but still same issue with incoming calls.

Have you considered changing the proxy on your obi device? Sometimes, the XB7 (and XB6) modems have a feature called "SIP ALG" enabled. Another option (though less than ideal) is plugging another wireless router dedicated to the VOIP device.
1) Plug in one ethernet cable from the XB7 (or XB6's) available LAN port and plug one end to the dedicated router's WAN port
2) Connect the VOIP device to the router's LAN port

All of my GV lines still work.
You need to use this firmware version, if you're not using naf's modded firmware: https://support.poly.com/support/s/arti ... re-Version.
Obitalk Service (Voice Services-->Obitalk service-->Enable) and Obitalk Provisioning (System Management-->Auto Provisioning) must be enabled in the ATA if you're using Obitalk.com to provision Google Voice.
If you need help with naf's modded firmware, you can ask at https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31792 ... mware-mods.

OBi202, when configured properly and connected directly to XB7, works for incoming calls: https://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 460#p80161.
The instructions in that thread are worth following, particularly with respect to checking for signal levels and packet loss/ping spikes.
FutureHeartsJunkie wrote: ↑ Have you considered changing the proxy on your obi device?
It's not necessary to do so with the XB7 when following the guide located at the bottom of the first post.
Sometimes, the XB7 (and XB6) modems have a feature called "SIP ALG" enabled.
SIP ALG in the XB6 can be disabled. SIP ALG is enabled in the XB7 in firmware and can't be disabled by users.
SIP ALG in the XB7 isn't causing the problem if the OBi202 is configured properly using the PDF guide located at the bottom of the first post from https://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 805#p73839.
Another option (though less than ideal) is plugging another wireless router dedicated to the VOIP device.
Enabling bridge mode in the XB7 and using another router is ideal. Here's why: https://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 199#p78976. ISPs don't issue devices that are ideal for SIP services.

If you can't, you likely haven't configured your SIP app or device properly, particularly the dialplan.
Visit https://forum.fongo.com/viewforum.php?f=15 for guides.
You can also access FPL's voicemail by dialing these numbers: https://support.freephoneline.ca/hc/en- ... -voicemail.

I didn't even know a Suicide Prevention Services line existed in Canada. Is that new?
The OBi2xx FPL guide has been updated to support 988.
